 MSW being a professional course, the curriculum consists of theory classes, field work/practical training, rural camps, study tours, seminars, dissertation, block placement etc. (The students will have to meet the expenses of their field work, rural camp, study tours etc.). The MSW programme is of two years duration organized in four semesters with specializations in

Medical and Psychiatric Social Work.
Rural and Urban Community Development and
Personnel Management and Industrial Relations.

Note: Though the College is at present offering the above three specializations, it is at the discretion of the College to make any change in the course content especially the specializations on the basis of various practical considerations, with the approval of the University.

There are four courses each in the first and second semester. In the third semester there are two specialization courses two compulsory course. In the fourth semester there are two specialization courses,one compulsory course and Term paper:  elective/project work (we offer only project work). The concurrent fieldwork is an integral part of all the semesters. The students also undergo a block placement for a duration of not les than four weeks.

Note: The allotment of specialization will be made to the students on the merits of the first semester examination
