| Students of Dr M V Shetty College of Physiotherapy welcomed the New Year with a bang by celebrating ‘Freshers’ Day’ at Lobo’s River View, Morgans Gate here, on Wednesday January 5. | | |  | | |  | | |  | | | The students enjoyed the rhythmic beats of popular songs and welcomed the New Year dressed in stylish outfits.
Dr M Ramgopal Shetty, chairman, Dr M V Shetty Memorial Trust, Mangalore, was the chief guest and distributed roses to fresher students on the occasion and welcomed them.
Prof Hima Urmila Shetty, trustee, Dr M V Shetty Memorial Trust, Mangalore, delivered the keynote address.
Dr Ranjith Shetty, trustee, Dr M V Shetty Memorial Trust, Mangalore, Prof Sandeep J Nayak, principal, Dr M V Shetty Institute of Technology, Prof Chandrashekar Shetty, and Dr Susan Varghese, principal, Dr M V Shetty College of Physiotherapy, were the guests of honor. A sumptous dinner was served later.
