Bachelor in Physiotherapy - (B.P.T.)
| The Aim of this undergraduate Course in Physiotherapy is to impart in-depth knowledge and skill to the students to become competent in the physical diagnosis techniques and to develop proper attitude required for the practice of physiotherapy and to carry out treatment. |
Eligibility for Admission Qualifying Examination
A Candidate seeking admission to first year Bachelor in Physiotherapy (BPT):
i) Should have passed two year Pre University examination with 45 % of marks conducted by Department of Pre-University Education, Karnataka State, with English as one of the subjects and Physics, Chemistry and Biology as optional subjects. The candidate shall have passed subjects of English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology as optional subjects. The candidate shall have passed subjects of English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology individually also.
OR
ii) Shall have passed any other examination conducted by Boards/Councils/Intermediate examination established by State Government/Central Government and recognized as equivalent to a two year Pre University Examination by Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences/ Association of Indian Universities (AIU), with English as one of the subjects and Physics, Chemistry and Biology as optional subjects. The candidate shall have passed subjects of English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology as optional subjects. The candidate shall have passed subjects of English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology individually also.

| Age requirement:
The candidate seeking admission to the BPT Course should have completed 17 years of age, as on 31st of December of the year of admission

| Medical Fitness Certificate:
Every candidate before admission to the BPT course should submit a certificate of Medical Fitness from an authorized Government Medical Officer saying that the candidate is physical y fit to undergo the Physiotherapy Course.

The duration of the Bachelor of Physiotherapy Course (BPT) is Four and half Years including Six months of Internship.
